Internet Marketing Tips - How to Get Yourself Banned From Forums
Okay, I will admit, this article is a little tongue in cheek, but there is a very important message in it. It is my hope that you will get the message loud and clear and NOT do the things that I am going to touch on below. Any of this stuff can get you banned from your favorite forum faster than you can say Jumping Jack Flash.
So, just how DO you get yourself banned from your favorite forum? Well, one of the best ways is to spam it. If you don’t know what that means exactly, let me spell it out. Spamming a forum involves starting a thread or making a post with the self serving purpose of getting people to go to one of YOUR web pages. It doesn’t matter if the page has anything to do with the forum topic or not. In most forums, placing links in the main body of the post is a no-no. If you want to post links, do so in your signature…where it is allowed. Some forums don’t even allow that.
Another great way to get yourself banned is to start a fight with another one of the members. Starting fights is so easy to do. All you have to do is say something stupid to another member like, “Your mother wears army boots” to which you will usually get a reply that can’t be printed in this article. The fight will then escalate with many forum members taking sides. Eventually, the thread will either get locked or deleted but not before somebody is tossed out on the street. Yes, fighting with other members is a great way to get banned from your favorite forum.
Finally, there is scamming. This is probably the best way to get yourself banned. In some forums, they have sections where you can offer products or services to other members. Well, if you want to get yourself tossed out on your ear, simply sell crappy products or don’t follow through on the service that you promised. You’ll have so many complaints sent to the help desk, on your behalf, that by the time you wake up the next morning to log in, you’ll be wondering if you forgot your password. You didn’t. It just doesn’t work anymore.
There you have it…three great ways to get yourself banned from your favorite forum.
